I do believe the artist had a “thing” for Allspice. Though I’ve never had a problem. In fact, I have one tree I get it from though I think it’s gonna die soon.
I have to admit, Robert Rodriquez’s recipe for Puerco Pibil and his ‘10 minute cooking school’* from “Once Upon a Time in Mexico” used it to very good advantage.
*(Got game meat? Try this. It works. Can use a slow cooker or oven or anything that heats consistently.)
